Subject: AMAZING NEWS FROM THE WALL STREET JOURNAL 8/12/09

Article: House Hunters Need to Sharpen Aim - "A slew of data issued in recent weeks suggested the housing market could be bottoming. Standard & Poor's Case-Schiller index of home prices, for instance, ROSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN NEARLY THREE YEARS. That has led some home building stocks to rise 50% in a month."

Article: Economists Call for Bernanke to Stay, Say Recession Is Over - Economists surveyed by the Wall Street Journal said Bernanke, Federal Reserve Chairman, should stay: "Meanwhile, the majority of the economists the Wall Street Journal surveyed during the past few days said the recession that began in December 2007 IS NOW OVER. Battling the downturn defined most of Mr. Bernanke's term, which began in early 2006, and expires in January, and economists say his handling of the crisis has earned him four more years as Fed chief."
Twentyseven economists surveyed said the recession has ended. The jobless rate fell in July for the first time in 15 months, which may suggest that the worse is over. And even though the unemployment rate is expected to rise to 9.9% nationally by December, economists are predicting that the economy will lose many fewer jobs over the next 12 months than had been predicted just last month.
